British Council Thailand

The British Council Thailand oversees a plethora of duties including the administration of the Cambridge ESOL examinations including the IELTS exam.

The British Council in Thailand has a long and extensive history having been established in 1938 with offices in Bangkok dating from 1952. They now run 3 centres in Bangkok. Headquarters are in Siam Square, with offices in Pinklao and Ladprao plus an office in Chiang Mai.

According to their website, they"build long-term partnerships and networks between Thailand and the UK." They are involved in building cultural ties between the UK and Thailand through various programs.
